Brand new folding Tatami mat. Perfect for single "Futon" 

Same as our "Easy Tatami Mat", this folding tatami mat has traditional tatami surface but unlike traditional style it does not require any difficult installation. Use like a rug or as a under-mat for Japanese style "Futon".  It can be a casual sleeping mat for a nap or for a guest. 

You can place it onto almost any floor.  It has comfortable thickness but vey light enough to move it around. 

All our tatami has natural antibacterial finish.

Traditionally, futons are supposed to be used in tatami rooms with tatami mats laid wall-to-wall. This Folding tatami mat brings the authentic tatami experience, preventing slipping and adding extra cushioning and support.

We sweat more during sleep than we think. It is difficult for futons to get rid of the moisture that accumulates if laid directly on hardwood floors. Tatami’s moisture absorbing ability prevents the futons from being musty, keeping them dry and fluffy all the time. The tatami mattress provides noise insulation as well.

*It is strongly recommended not to leave the Futon/mattress on Tatami all the time. Futon/mattress and tatami both need to breathe sometime.

＜!!PLEASE NOTE!!＞

Tatami mat is made from natural material therefore there will be slight color differences and slit color fade. Natural color fade will be almost even look as you use and will be natural golden color.  Color of Tatami mat might look slightly different from the photos. 

Natural color fading, small gaps and breaks of fibres occasionally occurs in the mat is not claimable as faulty.

To prevent any accidents please DO NOT run or jumping onto Tatami Mat.

＜BEFORE USING TATAMI MATS＞

This Tatami Mat has been specially coated with natural substance to protect from color change, sun damage, bacteria, mite and mould.

However, there might be coating that has not been fully absorbed into Tatami Mat. Please clean your Tatami Mat before use otherwise left over coating might stain your clothes. (please follow the cleaning instruction)

＜CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE＞

Please use dry cloth to clean the surface of Tatami Mat.

DO NOT use any wet cloth as it may attract mould and change the color of Tatami mats.

Wipe the surface gently two times. DO NOT wipe hard as coating might be wiped at the same time. 

If you happen to spilt liquid use paper towel or tissue to absorb the liquid. Try not to wipe with cloth.

Please keep the surface clean as dirt might attract mite. Keep free from moisture.

Before you store Tatami Mat please have them upright and dried for about two hours in shades. Try to avoid the place with high temperature and humidity.
